Every emotion, every thought, every memory, and every sensation in the body is associated with different rhythms of breath.
All babies know how to breathe. However, as we get older, we forget to breathe. Our breath becomes more and more shallow as most people only use 20-30% of their lung capacity. Most toxins can be released through the breath, and at the same time, the breath is one of the most important sources of energy.
We focus so much on the mind we forget to give the breath freedom to do its job, to heal and reduce the stress and tensions caused by the mind and emotions. By attending to the breath, which links with emotions and thoughts, we start to sense the rhythms and depth of the breath. We begin to learn to give the breath the freedom to heal ourselves.
Our breath is the best doctor for our emotional and psychological needs. Give the breath freedom, and let the breath take over -- the heart starts to open up and quiet down the ego, connecting with the higher self and activating the light body.
How does one face the changes in life while the mind and emotions are constantly in conflict? By attending to the breath. Techniques learned in the Breath of Change Workshop allow one to observe the breathe, letting the breathe guide itself, thereby changing and transforming thoughts and emotions. One learns to recognize and realize the unchanging peacefulness, joy, and love within.
